Skin Types

Normal skin type is neither oily nor dry, it has a soft, velvety texture. It is fresh, well balanced and firm but it needs care, if its to last. People with normal skins start showing signs of age and wrinkles sooner than others, if they tend to neglect their skin. Daily cleansing, tanning and nourishing is adequate care for normal skin

Oily skin types usually have large pores, coarse grain, shiny, badly circulated skin. Inclination is towards impurities, such as acne and blackheads. Oily skins need special cleansing to keep the pores unclogged. The flow of sebum oil increases during adolescence and starts decreasing with age

Dry skin types lack sebum oil and moisture; they appear to be fine textured, transparent, patchy and fragile; there may be a few expression lines. Dry skin flakes and claps easily and there are many factors which affect it such that it’s condition worsens, For instance, washing with soap and water not only removes grime but also the natural oils that protect the skin. Hence, exposure to the sun, air conditioners also aggravates the condition

Combination skins have greasy areas, while the other parts are dry and normal. The forehead, nose, chin i.e. the T-zone may be greasy and the rest, dry. Combination skins are very common and are one of the most mistreated skin types. This type requires separate treatment for each area
